Last October, NAMI Rock County held its annual fundraiser, which is a nationwide initiative to raise money & awareness to mental illness. NAMI programs ensure vital, free programs that provide help and hope to those in need. Through the organization’s public, active display of support for people affected by mental illness, they are changing our local community and giving help & hope to those in need.
The Steve Caya personal injury team participated in the event, which began at Riverside Park in Beloit, WI. As you can see, we all brought our dogs for emotional support, including my new puppy George!
We walked for our past, present, and future clients. The work this nonprofit does is meaningful to us. In the personal injury field, we often work with people who are injured in an accident and are experiencing mental distress such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depressive disorder (MDD) or chronic pain syndrome (CPS). These conditions are often brought on by physical injury and/or the actual traumatic accident itself. Many victims rely on organizations like this for support after such an incident.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our walking team–you helped us raise over $1,000 for mental health awareness!
Please consider supporting this wonderful nonprofit through volunteering, walking at the next fundraiser, or making an online donation.
